Download Foundation Foods → April 2026 (CSV) from fdc.nal.usda.gov/download-datasets (~32 MB unzipped).
This is its own dataset — not SR Legacy. Upload only files from the Foundation Foods zip into the zones below.
Parser averages samples by description, publishes to Cloudflare R2 with _source: USDA_Foundation (~2,700) → search-foundation.json + macro-light.json. No Google sign-in on home IP.
Required: food.csv + food_nutrient.csv + nutrient.csv  |  Optional: food_portion.csv (adds cup measurements)

⚡ USDA SR Legacy Foods Batch Processor

Download SR Legacy → April 2018 (CSV) from fdc.nal.usda.gov/download-datasets (~54 MB unzipped). Separate zip — not Foundation Foods.
Staging folder: Archive/nutrition_heavy/usda_downloads/…/sr_legacy/
Government lab-tested — green trust like Foundation. Parser publishes every food with _source: USDA_SR_Legacy (~7,700) → R2 search-sr_legacy.json only. Never on the phone. Home IP → Cloudflare direct.
Required: food.csv + food_nutrient.csv + nutrient.csv  |  Optional: food_portion.csv

🏷️ FDC Branded Foods Importer — with Barcode (gtinUpc)

Upload branded_food.csv from the Branded Foods CSV download at fdc.nal.usda.gov/download-datasets (~450k foods).
Manufacturer-submitted — yellow trust, not government lab-tested. Online search only; never on the phone.
Also requires food.csv and food_nutrient.csv from the same download. Use usda_foods_to_r2.py for the full branded R2 deploy if browser import is too heavy.
Publishes to R2 victis-foods/branded/{a-z}.json with _source: USDA_Branded. No Firestore required on home IP.

📦 Export Two-Tier Food JSON

Exports master_foods from Firestore into two JSON files.
Macro JSON (Foundation only, ~2,700) — phone browse + macro-light.json on R2. SR Legacy and Branded are never embedded.
Micro JSON — 14 mineral and vitamin fields — optional cloud pull, cached in localStorage after first download.

How to embed in Victis Light:

1. Download both JSON files

2. Place victis_foods_macro.json in V:\Victis\cloudflare-scripts\

3. Place victis_foods_micro.json in V:\Victis\cloudflare-scripts\

4. The build script reads macro JSON and embeds it as a base64 string in the Light shell

5. Micro JSON is uploaded to Firebase Storage — Light pulls it once on demand

Signups from victis.systems are stored in R2 and sent through Cloudflare Email Service (not Brevo).
Dry-run first to see how many people match a tag, then send the launch email when you are ready.
